EMK joins the UK APPG on ESG

EMK Capital has become a sponsor of the UK All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG).

APPGs are informal, cross-party groups which exist to facilitate impartial discussions on specific topics between parliamentarians, British businesses and topic/sector stakeholders and experts, they are run by and fo rMembers of the Commons and Lords, though many involve individuals andorganisations from outside Parliament in their administration and activities. APPG members meet to discuss a particular issue of concern and explore relevant issues relating to their topic. APPGs regularly examine issues of policy relating to a particular area, discussing new developments, inviting stakeholders and government ministers to speak at their meetings, and holding inquiries into a pertinent matter. APPGs have no formal place in the legislature, but are an effective way of bringing together parliamentarians and interested stakeholders. 

The APPG on Environmental, Social, and Governance includes members and officers from all sides of the house, including Conservative, Labour, Green, and Liberal Democrat MPs and peers, as well as cross bench peers. Party political concerns are not discussed at meetings, and the group's agenda is focused on promoting a holistic adoption and standardised assessment of the principles of Environmental, Social, and Governance in the UK.
